WJ-8626A-4 Receiver and ControllerThe WJ-8626A-4 receiver and controller is the HF heart of a WJ-9040 receiver system. It is a fully functioning HF receiver with sophisticated scanning functions. It came stock with one IF filter but many optional IF filters were available. It cannot operate without an EFR-100 frame containing a power supply and a frequency standard. The pinout for the connections to the EFR-100 can be found on the WJ-8626A-4 connections document. I haven't had the good fortune to own one of these receivers yet. If any one would like to send well-illuminated, high resolution pictures of a WJ-8626A-4 receiver, I'd love to add them to this page. Or if you would like to part with one of these receives VERY reasonably... just contact me. |

WJ-8626A-4 top insideThe inside of this radio is packed, especially with the preselector option installed. As with many Watkins Johnson receivers, a set of extender cards is vital for repair or alignment work. |
